The Bar Methods Team
Chris Bidmead
Founder & CEO
Chris Bidmead is the most rounded, dynamic events and hospitality professional you’re likely to meet. From events to hospitality consulting, to construction and logistics, Chris is known throughout the spirits industry as a mechanic. Chris builds the engines that run bars, restaurants, events, and his most enduring masterpiece Bar Methods. He also literally builds ergonomically correct, and functional bars and the concepts they serve.
As the silent hand propelling profitable bar operations in the New York metro area for the last fifteen years, Chris has developed a signature methodology that all but assures the success of his clients in the most demanding and competitive market in the world.
Chris’ brainchild Bar Methods is a hospitality and cocktail masterclass drilling down on the essential techniques and skills of a proficient modern bartender. This is punctuated with an annual prestigious invitation-only course that has been attended by hundreds of bartenders from around the world and has yielded the next generation of bartenders, bar managers, and beverage directors. Bar Methods is enjoying its sixth year in operation and continues to feature the brightest minds and thought leaders as its instructors.
Bianca Miraglia
Compliance & CFO
For the past 20 years, Bianca Miraglia has grown through every side of the Food and Beverage Industry, starting as a very young bartender. She has held positions in breweries, distilleries, wineries, bars, restaurants, and wine shops, doing everything from grunt work to GM to CFO/CEO. She has managed wine and spirits importers and distributors. She is a go-to industry-wide advisor and connector, globally.
Bianca has an extensive background in winemaking, distilling, farming, and business management. She is a very organized creative and lives to figure out how to turn ideas into reality. Bianca recently invented the only pH-stable naturally-colored blue alcohol and is a one-woman vermouth producer, farming and foraging all botanical ingredients. She consults for other alcohol manufacturers and restaurants and helps wherever needed- whether it is staffing, licensing and formula compliance, bureaucratic hoops, negotiating insurance policies, business, and ramp-up plans, new product development, equipment sourcing, you name it.
She is a very active participant in the local food and alcohol movement and dreams of helping to develop the parts the Hudson Valley is missing and can greatly benefit from. You will be hard pressed to find a more well-rounded industry member.
